Tandragee Rovers recorded a fourth consecutive clean sheet on the way to another convincing Mid-Ulster Intermediate League Section A success.

The 4-0 defeat of Lower Maze arrived courtesy of a strong team performance by a Rovers side in superb form.

AJ Gallagher cleared the crossbar in the opening stages and tested the Maze goalkeeper off a free-kick before Cecil Corbett also came close to breaking the deadlock.

The opening goal arrived thanks to Gallagher’s quickly-taken free-kick that found Mark Bicker, with a foul on the latter allowing Lee Wells to convert from the penalty spot.

A second penalty - off Bicker’s hard work - resulted in a Johnny Black finish from the spot.

It was 3-0 before half-time as Gallagher displayed impressive determination to force home a loose ball after Bicker’s initial shot had been saved.

Bicker and Corbett each finished frustrated with the frame of the goal in the second half before Black added to his tally with an angled back-post volley.

A late save by Richard McGivern helped to protect the clean sheet.
