Brian Adair has tonight (Monday) resigned as manager of Loughgall Football Club.

The former Lakeview Park player has cited “ongoing issues not connected with football” behind his decision to step down just days after securing a 12th Bob Radcliffe Cup prize for the Villagers.

Adair told the committee of his decision following that Boxing Day final victory against Annagh United and officially finalised the departure tonight.

Loughgall officals were unavailable for comment.

The news will lead to speculation over the future of a playing squad assembled, in the main, during Adair’s year-long period in the Loughgall dug-out.

See this week’s ‘Times’ for an exclusive interview with Adair, plus reaction from Loughgall on the next step.
