Glebe Reserves soar against Eagles
Glebe started brightly with Wilson Morrison and the impressive Elliott constantly creating opportunities from midfield.
It was only matter of time before there was a breakthrough and Chris Mawhinney’s return was just the solution and he was to benefit with a quickfire hatrick of finishes putting the hosts well in control.

Hide AdThe visitors had a few half chances from set pieces but Glebe stood firm in defence to go into the break three goals up.
Glebe’s now normal slow start after the break saw the White Eagles capitalise when they had some joy in open play. They create several chances before Wasyliszyn fired past McCullagh in goals to make it 3-1.
A rocket from the edge of box made it 3-2 but the potential for another upset and caused the manager a few anxious moments. However, Captain Magill rallied his troops and ensured they put clear daylight between the sides.
First up was an impressive individual strike from Neill McVicker before he swept home Nicky McCooke’s cross. This was followed by another from Mawhinney to ensure the Glebe enjoyed a comprehensive win.
