East Antrim League final set to tee off

Cairndhu play Greenisland Golf Club in the first leg of the two-leg final of the East Antrim League on Sunday (September 8) at Cairndhu, tee-off 3pm. The return leg is set for Sunday, September 25.

In the Ulster Cup Cairndhu held a 4 / 3 advantage in the semi-final and entertained Ballyclare on Sunday afternoon in the return leg. Ballyclare were up in three of the first four matches after 14 holes, with only one hole in the last three matches. However, things turned towards the home side over the last six holes with Norman Johnston coming back from four down with six to play to win his match on the 18th. Cairndhu went through 8.5 to 5.5, and will now meet Letterkenny Golf Club in the final.

Cairndhu took 10 points from their first North Antrim Shield match at Ballycastle Golf Club Their second pool sees Cairndhu play Bushfoot GC on September 8.
