Ladies hold a fun day to mark end of the winter season

The event was run in a waltz format with 1 score counting at the 1st, 4th and 7th holes, 2 scores needed at the 2nd, 5th and 8th holes and all 3 players scores required for the remaining holes.

More than 20 teams took part and were fortunate to enjoy their round of golf in glorious sunshine.

Lady Captain, Margaret Boyd, was delighted with the good turnout and reminded players that St Patrick’s Day would mark the start of the weekly 18-hole competitions.

Following an early evening meal in the clubhouse, team prizes were announced.

First were Margaret McDonagh, June Wightman and Vera Hewitt with 42 points while Alison McKnight, Sharon Stewart and Sandra Leckey were second with 40 points.

Anne McDonnell, Amy Boyd and Joan McClements finished in third place with 36 points.
