Lisburn golfer into next stage of Audi Cup

AMATEUR golfer Robert Patterson, from Lisburn, has qualified for an Audi Quattro Cup UK Regional Final golf tournament this summer.

Patterson won the Belfast & Portadown Audi Invitational staged at Malone GC Golf Club with a score of 38-points in the Stableford rules matches.

Over 50 amateur golfers contested the 18-hole Belfast & Portadown Audi sponsored competition at Malone. The top-six finishers from the event now pair up in a Regional Final at the Slaley Hall Golf Club, Hexham near Newcastle-upon-Tyne, on July 26.

Five Regional Finals are held in July with the top 18 “pairs” going forward in to the Audi Quattro Cup UK Final at Bowood Golf & Country Club near Calne, Wiltshire (6-7 Sep).

Ultimately two “pairs” representing Great Britain compete in the World Final at the Arabella Golf Club, Western Cape, South Africa (23-27 Nov).
