Scarva’s Olivia Mehaffey completed a memorable trophy treble last weekend with victory in Wales.
The teenager arrived at Southerndown Golf Club boosted by back-to-back title triumphs in the Irish Girls and Scotland-based Helen Holm open strokeplay championships,
Her superb run of form continued with rounds of 73, 73 and 75 in the Welsh Ladies’ Open Strokeplay Championship.
The Irish international can now enjoy a well-earned break before the Irish Women’s Open Strokeplay Championship on May 23.
“It has been a busy few weeks but I have so much belief now going into tournaments,” said Mehaffey. “Now there is a break between competitions so I can let everything sink in and maybe even find time to celebrate.
“I also aim to sit down with the coaching team and analyse everything that has happened.
“The win in Wales was different as leading proved a fresh experience and another type of pressure.”
