O'Connor claims 'Stute Open

THE Institute FC Open took place in near perfect conditions at Faughan Valley, on Sunday.

Claiming first place was Barney O'Connor (13) who scored 43 points, second on 40 points was Paul Anderson (20), while Edwin Gallagher (14) with 38 points was third.

James Lyndsey (4) with 71 gross points claimed the gross prize, Gordon Fores (2) won the front nine after he scored 19 points, while John Thomson (18) with 21 points won the back nine.

Shane McGahon was Nearest to the pin and Forbes hit the longest drive. In the non qualifying section Nigel Curry was first, Tommy Donnell was second and Stephen Spratt was third.
