Ulster Cup team in strong position

Tandragee Golf Club’s Ulster Cup team hosted Aughnacloy Golf Club on Sunday in the first leg of their match.

The home side won six and a half matches from seven which gives them a great advantage going into the return leg.

John Weir halved his match, Jim Campbell and Stefan McNeill both won their matches on the seventeenth.

Geoff Moorhead had a great win over his opponent winning by an eight and seven margin.

Johnny Quinn won on the fourteenth, Michael Lyons finished his match on the fifteenth and Emmet Nixon also won on the fifteenth.

The return match is in Aughnacloy Golf Club on Sunday at 2pm.

Members are urged to get behind the Ernie Smyth Memorial event on August 16.

The 3 Men, 1 Lady team format is open to all, including visitors and tee bookings can now be made. For the team prizes, 2 scores count 1-8 and 10-17 with all four counting on 9 and 18.
