Grammar to face Omagh in Schools’ Cup

The draw for the third round of this season’s Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Cup has pitched Carrick Grammar against Omagh Academy.

Carrick defeated Belfast Royal Academy 17-8 in Saturday’s second round clash at Irwin Park, while Omagh overcame Grosvenor 20-5.

Holders Methodist College, who are aiming for an historic fourth consecutive title, will face an in-form Ballymena Academy side.

There is another meeting of two top seeded teams, with last year’s beaten finalists Sullivan Upper due to entertain rivals Campbell College.

Ballyclare High School will host Bangor Grammar Hollinger Park.

Coleraine Academical Institution, Royal Belfast Academical Institution and Wallace HS are the other seeded teams to enter the competition at this stage.

The fixtures are scheduled to be played on Saturday February 7.
