Late first-half penalty drama helps Tandragee take control on path towards five-star success

Tandragee Rovers took advantage of drama late in the first half to take control of Saturday’s top-flight test.

Rovers’ second penalty of the day resulted in a red card for Banbridge Rangers and spot-kick success by AJ Gallagher.

Lee Wells’ initial penalty was saved during a strong Rovers start which included positive play by Simon McClean and Chris Mackle.

Richard McGivern produced a fine save at 0-0.

Rovers dominated across the second half thanks to the numerical advantage over Rangers on and off the pitch.

Cecil Corbett headed home number two before McClean added to the Rovers tally and Black bagged a late brace.
