Lough Neagh Stages Rally taking shape

IT is only a few weeks to the White River Hotel, Toomebridge sponsored Lough Neagh Stages rally which is held in the grounds of Moneyglass Demesne, Toomebridge on Sunday the 1st of July so event organisers and sponsors got together to discuss this years event at the White River Hotel on Tuesday the 5th of June.

With 2 new stages in the Higgins family estate and a reduced early entry fee of £150.00 the club hope to get a strong entry of WRC, Group N and Group A both 2 and 4 wheel drive crewed machines into the ten challenging concrete lane stages.

There have been quite a few winners of the Lough Neagh Stages in the last 10+ years including local business man Kieron Graffin of KG motorsport, Derek McGeehan (5 times winner), James Gillen, Maurice Gass, George Robinson and Garry Jennings all in WRC cars but with the latest evolution of machinery who and what car can take the top prize this year. To attract a large 2 wheel drive entry M-Tec Graphic has sponsored a prize for the fastest 2 wheel drive car on the day which is bound to push the escorts on if any pushing is necessary.
