Graeme Mitchell’s penalty kick left Tandragee Rovers on top - but a last-gasp spot-kick stop by goalkeeper Richard McGivern was required to protect the lead.

Mitchell slotted home a penalty in a Mid-Ulster Intermediate League Section A tussle with Fivemiletown United that featured three spot-kicks overall.

Fivemiletown hit the post with one before stepping up to rescue a point, only to find McGivern alert to save the effort with the game’s final moment.

Rovers’ reshuffled line-up included players promoted from the reserves like Reece Milligan and Andrew Proctor.

Hanover’s league tally experienced a weekend boost with success by 6-0 over Broomhill. The derby victory arrived thanks to hat-tricks apiece by Justin Bradley and Chris Elliott.
