Sponsorship support of the AquaSprint Junior Swimming League has been extended into a sixth year by Portadown-based Forest Feast.
The dried fruit, nut and seed business recently confirmed the agreement with Swim Ulster as the league hits the 30th anniversary.
Over 1,500 young swimmers will compete across the Forest Feast AquaSprint Junior Swimming League on behalf of 25 clubs - including Portadown - across four divisions.
The league finals have been scheduled for June - with Commonwealth junior champion Conor Ferguson and Irish record holder Emma Reid recently helping to launch the latest event.
“We are delighted to welcome Conor and Emma as this year’s AquaSprint ambassadors, helping us kick off an exciting season of competitions,” said Forest Feast’s Cara Gribben. “With 8-11 year olds representing 25 regional swimming clubs across four age groups, this is truly one of the loudest, most colourful and passionate sporting contests that we’ve ever had the pleasure of sponsoring.
“Forest Feast is committed to supporting local initiatives and fostering a positive attitude to health and fitness.
“A healthy lifestyle is vital for the junior swimmers involved, and the focus on associating exercise with fun makes this gala a hugely rewarding journey to be part of.
“We are delighted for Swim Ulster to reach this momentous milestone.
“It is a huge achievement for the organisation, which provides young people with a unique opportunity to get involved in swimming at every level.
“We’re very excited to see how the competition unfolds and wish everyone taking part the best of luck!”
