Annaghmore launched the home campaign with a defeat to High Moss Sarsfields by 3-10 to 2-10.
Oisin MacIomhair posted early frees and Sarsfields also suffered a black card but registered 2-4 without reply across a nine-minute spell.
Annaghmore responded with a superb run that switched a seven-point deficit into a slender lead.
Shane McGeown grabbed a goal to cap neat play between Daniel McGilly and Conor McCann. Owen McCormack started and finished a flowing move then Oisin MacIomhair converted his own free.
A second Annaghmore goal arrived when Martin Willis’ kick was advanced by the McConville brothers, Daire and Steven, ahead of Shane McGeown’s finish.
Shea Reavey’s pass was steered over by Oisin MacIomhair late in the first half and he added to that tally in the second, with Michael McConville also on target.
However, a late Sarsfields free left Annaghmore on the backfoot.
Club members would like to wish Michael McNeice a full recovery from injury and congratulate Shane Smyth on his forthcoming wedding.
Annaghmore clubrooms will host a night of beauty, fashion and dancing - with wine and cocktails - on Saturday, May 23 from 8 o’clock. Admission is £10 per person for the business showcase.
