Lough Neagh Sailing Club officials would welcome interest from anyone keen on discovering more about the sport.

Race sessions take place every Saturday afternoon and Wednesday evening - with an open invitation extended to the general public.

“Anyone who wants to find out more can call in at the Kinnego Marina clubhouse and makes themselves known,” said a Lough Neagh Sailing Club spokesman. “There is also a vibrant scheme for youngsters to learn to sail, using the club’s own fleet of ‘Toppers’.

“It is not all racing at the yacht club, various day cruises are also held during the season, including trips to the Coney and Rams islands for barbecues.”

A recent trophy presentation ceremony featured awards as follows: Anthony McColan (Boxing Day Pursuit Race), Norman Williams (Abbicoil Trophy), Tom Beckett (Winter Series Trophy), Eamon McCorry (Whitesail Fleet Best Overall, Coney Island Trophy, Winter Series Trophy), Gerry Geoghan (Rams Island Trophy).
