Scarva’s Olivia Mehaffey recently returned home after starting her season by hitting the airways as well as the fairways.
Mehaffey entered this year’s programme with confidence from a string of domestic and United Kingdom wins across 2015.
She opted to build up the airmiles in pursuit of continued progress - with recent tournament appearances in Peru and Portugal.
The fresh challenges provided by life on the road have left Mehaffey in positive mood.
“It is about taking on different tests and different courses,” she said. “I had never been to Peru so it was great to come up against a new course.
“I then had to fly out to Portugal and get up for practice after about three hours’ sleep and suffering from jetlag.
“I recovered to improve each day’s scoring and have been pleased with my start.
“I’m off next to a training camp in Spain with Ireland.
“Ultimately, it is about taking as much as possible from the experiences.”
