Olivia Mehaffey will close out her dream season - and junior career - next month around Germany’s St Leon-Rot course.
The Scarva teenager has achieved a key career goal with selection for the Junior Solheim Cup tournament as part of the European panel.
Success across competitions in Ireland, Scotland and Wales boosted her ranking - plus put Mehaffey in contention for the high-profile Vagliano Trophy and Junior Solheim Cup.
Mehaffey will now join players from Spain, Norway, France, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Sweden and Switzerland against USA over September 14 and 15.
“It is so exciting and the perfect way to end what has been such a memorable season,” said Mehaffey. “It is the last junior tournament I will ever play so should be one to remember.
“It is also going to be a wonderful learning experience as we spend time with the seniors.
“At the start of the season I never imagined I would be in contention for Vagliano or the Junior Solheim.”
