Portadown Taverners’ latest social outing ended in a single-run defeat to Waringstown Ladies on Friday at Chambers Park.
The popular addition to the local cricket calendar now stands in the favour of the ladies by a 3-2 margin overall.
However, Chambers Park’s Goal Line Youth Centre remains the real winner due to a donation off the back of Friday’s meeting.
Portadown’s main tally of runs came from George Hamill and Scott McDowell.
“Once again, the surface was in brilliant condition,” said a club spokesman. “Post-match pitch reports from umpires and players have been fantastic.
“The outfield was always well-groomed and credit to the Chambers Park groundstaff.”
The Taverners’ next meeting will be a Border League visit to Dungannon on June 24. Dundalk will arrive at Chambers Park on July 24, with a four-match series against Millpark also on the agenda.
