Marshall Neill experienced a weekend of frustration across round eight in the British Supersport Evo Championship.
The Portadown rider recovered from a difficult Cadwell Park practice to seal fourth across the sprint race then runner-up during the main event in the Evo class.
He now stands second in the Evo Championship leaderboard entering the closing four rounds.
“I was feeling very frustrated as I couldn’t understand why I wasn’t getting my times to be on pace with everyone else,” said Neill. “Big thanks to Adrian though, we sat down together and worked on things I could do as well as bike improvements.”
Colin Turkington’s British Touring Car Championship campaign suffered a setback on Sunday with disappointing results around Knockhill.
The defending champion entered last weekend’s programme sitting second in the standings but finished 10th and 15th either side of a DNF.
The Team BMR driver is now fourth overall.
