Mid-Antrim 150 moves to June date

THE Mid-Antrim 150 will be back on the road racing calendar next year - with an earlier-than-usual date in June.

After this year’s event was sabotaged by a deliberate oil spill on the Clough circuit, race organisers are already making moves to make the 2012 meeting the best yet.

They have applied for, and been granted, a date change that will see the popular meeting move to June 15-16, as opposed to its traditional slot in late July or early August.

It is also hoped that the club will be able to have an extended practice period on the Friday, that will run to a full day.
