Owen's RS125 Honda on display at bike show

The RS125 Honda which was raced in 1988 by the late Owen McNally has been lovingly restored and will be on display at the Ballymoney Motorcycle Show.

The show will take place on the 4th and 5th March at the Joey Dunlop Leisure Centre.

Owen McNally was Irish Champion at the time when he tragically lost his life in a high speed crash at Dawson’s Bend in the final lap of the final race of the day at the Ulster Grand Prix in 1999.

Owen left a road racing legacy which has been a lasting tribute to him.

Also on display will be Owen’s 1988 125 Honda along with Neil Robinson’s 250 British Championship winning Yamaha which Mervyn (Curly) Scott built the frame for.

The show will be open on Friday 4th March from 5pm -10pm and Saturday 5th March from 10am - 5pm and there will be Race Bike Displays, Vintage and Veteran Bikes, Auto Jumble and Motorcycle Memorabilia.

There will be Special Guest appearances from the biking world so there should be something for everyone.

The show which has been running for 17 years, has donated part of the proceeds to a wide range of charities and this year it has been decided that it it will be supporting the JFM Haulage Mid Antrim 150 who will have a stand at the bike show.
