Narrow loss for Finaghy

Finaghy lost by three shots at home to Clarendon in NIBA Division Four and claimed two points.

Despite lifting a three Randal Megrath was 8-9 down at the ninth but Finaghy came back to win by 11 shots.

Trevor Flack lifted and dropped a four to go 6-11 down at the eighth and though he came back Finaghy still lost by two shots.

Lifting three and four but dropping six and four John Campbell was 10-12 down at the seventh before losing by 14 shots.

A three helped Gregory Peacock to a 7-5 lead at the ninth and he held on to this advantage to win by two shots.

- Lagan Valley got a lift in their bid to stay away from the relegation area when they took six points from a 36 shots home win over Newry in NIBA Division Five.

A three and a four helped Brett Kirk to a 14-3 lead at the tenth and another three and four gave him a 23-6 lead at 14 ends before winning by 18 shots. After starting with two singles and two doubles Wilfie Benson led 8-2 at the seventh, but it was 8-6 at the tenth and 8-15 at 15 ends before losing by 14 shots.

A four helped Jeff Fawcus to an 11-7 lead at the tenth and 14-9 at 14 ends before gaining a six shots win.

Two fives and a three gave Jim Kinkead a 19-5 lead at the tenth and 25-9 at 15 ends before adding two fours and a six to get a 26 shots win.
