Pocket Rocket explodes on to local race scene

Weather conditions were perfect which ensured a full field of 60 riders handicapped into four groups. Bann Wheelers riders Shane McDonald and Jason McIntyre demonstrated a fine ‘work ethic’ sharing most of the load during this five lap 25 mile race. The first group managed to stay away and splintered into a core of 10 riders working hard not to get caught. Come the last lap a young Ballymena rider made a break at the start of the last climb towards the finish line, this was closed down quickly by Bann Wheelers ‘Pocket Rocket’ Jason McIntyre who launched himself towards the finish line securing a fine win.
