Robinson on the podium with top-two race results
Noel Robinson from Portadown left Kirkistown having recorded back-to-back top-two placings across the Northern Ireland Formula Ford Championship meeting.
Robinson steered his Van Diemen JL012K to runner-up spot on the first outing before wrapping up the appearance with victory.
“Results have us leading the championship,” said Robinson. “I got caught out by the weather in qualifying so ended up starting fourth for both races.
“I got held up by an incident on lap two in the first race, so second was solid.
“I was able to control the second race as leader from the first lap during a good overall start.”
